Revati also takes a deep interest in teaching. She has several students in Pune who are learning Hindustani music under her guidance.Very often she also organizes workshops and audio-visual sessions for their benefit. Encouraged by Dr. Ashwini Bhide, Revati has also taken to composing. She has composed a few compositions in classical music as also in devotional music.

Revati Kamat is one of the promising upcoming musicians in the realm of Hindustani classical music. She had her initial training from Pt.Mohankumar Darekar.Thereafter she undertook training from the famous exponent of Jaipur-Atrauli gharana , Dr.Ashwini Bhide- Deshpande for more than a decade.Presently she is learning the nuances of Hindustani vocal music from respected harmonium player Dr.Arawind Thatte.

After finishing her Bachelor’s degree in Commerce and an Advance Diploma in Computers, she pursued her Master’s Degree in Music from the S.N.D.T. University, Pune; where she topped the Arts faculty and also received the prestigious Kalyanji gold medal for the same. She is also the recipient of the prestigious research fellowship awarded by the U.G.C., New Delhi, for pursuing Doctoral studies in Music. She completed her work under the able guidance of eminent sitar player and music director, late Pt.Bhaskar Chandavarkar.She has been recently awarded the doctorate by S.N.D.T. University

Revati is a graded artiste of AIR (All India Radio) for Classical Vocal.

Apart from a performing career, Revati has also put in her creative talent by organizing classical music concerts of children; the basic aim of which is to promote love and interest for music. Rang Umaltya Manache ( June 2007) and Gunjan (November 2007) have been appreciated not only by the lay listener but also by eminent musicians like Pt.Vijay Bakshi, Dr.Veena Sahsrabuddhe, Pt.Suhas Vyas, Dr.Arawind Thatte and Smt.Kalpana Zokarkar.

Revati’s performances have been well appreciated by audiences as well as dignitaries like Pt.Manik Bhide, Pt. Yeshwantbua Joshi, Pt.Sharad Sathe, Pt.V.R.Athavle, Pt.Naraynrao Bodas. Apart from private concerts, she has staged many public performances, few of which deserve a mention
